Haldia Institute of Technology is a prestigious institute for imparting education in the technological field. The institute was established in 1996 as the first self financed and government aided degree institute in West Bengal. Having started with just three under graduate degree courses in technical fields, it has now made a huge leap, growing into a full-fledged institute with a myriad of under graduate degree courses in a dozen disciplines.
